Same rank — or even better — and still a lower seat? The difference is your counsellor.
Students with the same rank — even a better one — end up a whole tier apart: a lesser college, a dearer quota, a seat given away in round 1. What decides it is the order they filled, the round they froze in and the quota they chose. Those are the calls an expert counsellor makes with you.

One wrong choice order costs a year
A safe seat placed below a stretch one is how students lose a season. Our counsellors order your preference list against two years of closing ranks, then stay with you through every round.

State Quota Selection
The difference a counsellor makes
Your rank opens the door. Strategy gets you the seat.
Cutoff lists show where seats closed last year. They cannot tell you which choice to lock first, when to float for an upgrade, which quota is genuinely yours, or what a college will actually charge. Those calls decide your seat — and they are made in days, not weeks. That is where 15+ years of counselling, and a team in touch with colleges and counsellors across India, works for you.
79%
of MD/MS seats went to a later rank after round 1 (69% in NEET UG). Lock your seat too early and the upgrade goes to someone else.
80
different counselling processes — 41 for NEET UG, 39 for NEET PG — each with its own rules, dates and documents.
1 in 10
PG seats in 2025 closed tighter in the final round than in an earlier one. Judge a seat by its last round alone and you will misread it.
755
category codes and 254 quota types across India. The same category is written differently from state to state — and one wrong pick is costly.
264
PG colleges where one seat costs five times another. What you pay depends on the quota — not just the college.
Counted from the official counselling results we hold — not estimates.
Where golden seats are lost
The five mistakes we see every single season.
- 1Locking a round-1 seat that a later round would have upgraded to a better college.
- 2The right colleges in the wrong order — the same list, filled differently, lands a different seat.
- 3A state registration window missed while waiting on MCC — or a registration under the wrong quota.
- 4Turned away at reporting over a single document — a domicile, category or PwD certificate in the wrong format.
- 5Lakhs paid for a management seat when a merit seat was one round away.
Every one of these is avoidable — with the right guidance at the right moment.

Fraud agent se bachein — six warning signs
- Anyone who “guarantees” a government seat. MCC and state counselling allot strictly by merit — nobody can promise one.
- Cash to “book” a management or NRI seat before counselling. Since NEET, those seats are filled through official counselling too.
- Fees paid into a person's own account or UPI. Seat fees go only to the college or the counselling authority.
- Requests for your NEET or MCC login, password or OTP. Never share them — not with anybody.
- No office, no invoice, no written terms. A genuine counsellor has all three.
- Any claim you cannot check yourself on mcc.nic.in or your state's counselling website.
Been offered a seat and not sure? Send it to our counsellors on WhatsApp — they will tell you what to check, free.
